She’s girly. She’s pink. She’s fun! The background of this painting is a mess, but somehow- in the midst of the chaos, her beauty shines through.

This piece was “done” but something about it felt simple. The flower seemed to get lost in the background. It was beautiful, but dull.

So, some red was added. It started with a little bit here and there… but the more the red was added into the painting, the more exquisite she became. The brush couldn’t leave the canvas because with every brush of red, Elizabeth came to life.

Reflecting on the mess of life and the chaos that has consistently surrounded Elizabeth, it felt so fitting that only the Blood of Christ could sustain her.. and not only that- but brought her more to life than she ever was before.

There is beauty in the mess.. and with the Blood of Jesus, anything can be turned to good. Elizabeth shows us just that.
